Duane Walter Lashua "Dewey"

Duane W. Lashua, 62, formerly of Neenah, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 6, 2012. Dewey was born June 6, 1950, in Neenah, son of Walter and Mary (Pritzl) Lashua. Dewey enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. in November of 1972 and was discharged from active duty in February of 1974. He was united in marriage to Virginia A. Lashua "Ginny" on July 25, 1975, and she preceded him in death on August 28, 2009. Dewey was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah and the Knights of Columbus, Neenah Council #5514. Dewey is survived by his two sons: Chad (Lori) Lashua, Tomahawk; Nicholas (Nicole) Lashua, Neenah; two daughters: Becky (Collin) Behm, Neenah; Amy Lashua, Wausau; two grandchildren: Maggie and Christian Lashua; six siblings: William "Bill' Lashua, James "Jim" (Bobbi) Lashua, Richard "Dick" Lashua, David "Dave" (Diane) Lashua, John and Linda Lashua; a sister-in-law, Debbie Kurznyski; his mother-in-law: Elaine Killian; and many other relatives and friends. He wa also preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Abagail Lashua; a brother, Jerome "Jerry" Lashua; and a sister, LaVerne Lashua. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Abler, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitations will be at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., and at the church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the mass. The rosary will be prayed at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church by the Knights of Columbus, Neenah Council #5514. A memorial has been established. Service Information A service summary is not available
